Join us on an art filled expedition to the North Pole and the Alaskan wilderness! How about climbing snow-capped mountains to take in the spectacular view? Have you heard of an ermine or a lemming? These are just a few furry creatures you'll meet on our adventure! We'll visit polar bears, wolves, and even the Inuit people who live in the Arctic. During the first hour of camp each day we will dive into a drawing or painting project inspired by the camp theme. When it's time for a short break, we walk one block to the park for some fresh air and a snack, or stay cozy inside and enjoy a bit of down time with some great wintry books. After a short break, it'll be time for some exciting sculpture and craft projects. Please send a small snack and drink with your child each day. Class size is limited to 12 so that each artist receives plenty of attention. Pick any location. We have two-Thrive Art School at Madison and Ravenna!
First of all, I would like to point out a couple important things: 1 Art is a magic that brings you calm and relaxation! 2 We are so lucky to live in the most beautiful state Washington! I used to be a pediatrician, because I love helping people and working with kids, but I moved to Seattle and fell in love with art and hiking. I changed my life, bought Thrive Art School, hike a lot and climbed up to bunch of 14000 feet mounts like Mt.Rainer (twice), Mt. Evans and Mt. Elbert...to be continued. So, now about Thrive: Thrive Art school is a local school in Seattle area that has two locations (Madison Valley and Ravenna) and it turned 16 years old in 2016! Thrive Art school offers year-round Fine Art classes and Special Interest series for children, teens and adults. Our students not only learn how to draw and paint, they develop creative problem-solving skills and increase their self-confidence.
