Art Confidence Madison
Ages: 7-9 Duration: 1 hour 15 minutes Let's build artistic confidence! This class is geared towards the older beginner and has the same guided structure as our Discover Art class. Students learn fundamental drawing and painting concepts as they build confidence in their skills and their ability to make their own artistic decisions. Media exploration will increase in this class, as students experiment with markers, chalk and oil pastel, water color and acrylic paint, and colored pencils. Parents choose Thrive for their children's art education for a variety of reasons. By the age of 7, many children realize their desire to have their drawings look a certain way and are not sure how to create it on paper. Thrive Art School's nurturing environment lets you support your child's love of drawing by providing a place for encouragement and artistic inspiration. Other children enroll in Thrive classes because they love to draw and know that our school is a place where they can build skills in a peaceful and supportive environment. Children at Thrive are encouraged to make their own creative decisions with the confidence they are gain weekly in classes. To honor and celebrate each child's learning, students are invited to participate in our Spring Art Walk.
First of all, I would like to point out a couple important things: 1 Art is a magic that brings you calm and relaxation! 2 We are so lucky to live in the most beautiful state Washington! I used to be a pediatrician, because I love helping people and working with kids, but I moved to Seattle and fell in love with art and hiking. I changed my life, bought Thrive Art School, hike a lot and climbed up to bunch of 14000 feet mounts like Mt.Rainer (twice), Mt. Evans and Mt. Elbert...to be continued. So, now about Thrive: Thrive Art school is a local school in Seattle area that has two locations (Madison Valley and Ravenna) and it turned 16 years old in 2016! Thrive Art school offers year-round Fine Art classes and Special Interest series for children, teens and adults. Our students not only learn how to draw and paint, they develop creative problem-solving skills and increase their self-confidence.
