Make our art program a part of your home school curriculum. We provide students with academic content that complements the theme of each drawing and painting lesson. We cover many subjects throughout the year while exploring art concepts such as shading, color, design, perspective, composition, value and more. Home School projects include: environmental studies, nature, human culture and far-away places, animals, and learning about inspiring master artists!
Students who draw what they're learning about retain new knowledge for longer periods of time and are quick learners. We align our curriculum with the Washington State Essential Academic Learning Requirements. As with all Thrive classes, there is no critique or competition so students can openly explore art in a safe environment.

First of all, I would like to point out a couple important things:
1 Art is a magic that brings you calm and relaxation!
2 We are so lucky to live in the most beautiful state Washington!
I used to be a pediatrician, because I love helping people and working with kids, but I moved to Seattle and fell in love with art and hiking. I changed my life, bought Thrive Art School, hike a lot and climbed up to bunch of 14000 feet mounts like Mt.Rainer (twice), Mt. Evans and Mt. Elbert...to be continued. So, now about Thrive:
Thrive Art school is a local school in Seattle area that has two locations (Madison Valley and Ravenna) and it turned 16 years old in 2016!
Thrive Art school offers year-round Fine Art classes and Special Interest series for children, teens and adults. Our students not only learn how to draw and paint, they develop creative problem-solving skills and increase their self-confidence.
