It can be whimsical or elegant, but I’ll let you in on a little secret: At the end of the day, it’s basically play-dough made of sugar. Yep, it’s true! And you can make it yourself with just a microwave, rolling pin, and three basic ingredients available at any grocery store. You don’t have to be a cake boss to master this technique. Come on over, and I’ll show you how. In this class for beginners, I’ll teach you the basic recipe and technique for making your own delicious (and easy to use) marshmallow fondant. We’ll learn to color the fondant, practice rolling out a sheet and covering a cake, and using various tools to create beautiful, one-of-a-kind decorations. Finally, you’ll use the fondant that we’ve created to cover and decorate a fabulous mini-cake that you can take home to wow your friends and family.
