Over 45 Billion glass bottles are produced each year in the United States alone. Wouldn't it be cool to turn them into something useful?
Bottle cutting is a fun way to up-cycle used glass bottles into something beautiful and functional. With a few basic tools, you can turn almost any glass bottle into a beautiful handmade drinking glass. This hands-on workshop will show you how to score, cut and sand used beer, wine, and liquor bottles. We will also cover several different methods of bottle cutting and how to cut more successfully. Whether you're cutting bottles for the first time or you need tips on cutting more successfully, this class is for you.
Our expert instruction will give you the skills help save the planet, and turn your favorite bottle into a work of art.

If MacGyver and Captain Planet had a love child, it would be Nick Conrad.
Since its inception in 2010, The Green Suite has been the vehicle through which Nick Conrad has shared his DIY approach to sustainability with the Midwest. After appearances at numerous libraries, festivals and corporate events in the Chicagoland area, Nick has decided to take The Green Suite on the road, and expand his audience. Over the next few months, Nick will convert an 85-square foot cargo van to a DIY tiny house. Spanning from Texas to California, The Green Van Project will become the literal vehicle bringing NIck's eco-education to the masses, with his trademark charm and wit. His engaging, hands-on presentations on hydroponic window farming, solar energy and zombie survival have attracted the attention of many intrigued Chicagoans, and have brought him to TV and radio on WCIU's You & Me This Morning and WGN, and coverage in publications such as the Chicago Red Eye, the Chicago Tribune and the Chicago Sun-Times.
