Lucca is a city and commune in Tuscany, Central Italy, on the Serchio, in a fertile plain near the Tyrrhenian Sea. It is the capital of the Province of Lucca. I visited the summer of 2015 and simply fell in love with the quaint city, it's food and people! What's not to love about Italian cuisine? Students will learn to make the following recipes: - Composed Caprese Salad (beef tomatoes or Heirloom tomatoes with mozzarella & fresh basil) - Fettuccine Alfredo with mushrooms & broccolini (the sauce is incredible!) - Pesto Penne with cherry tomatoes (the homemade pesto is fresh & bursting with flavor) For dessert, we will prepare a classic & easy semi-homemade recipe for strawberry Napoleon. It's the perfect light and refreshing sweet after a delicious Italian meal ensemble.
