Jewelry Soldering for Beginners
Ready to tackle a brand new skill or take your current jewelry arts to the next level? This class was created so students may become comfortable with a torch. (Yep, a torch! But don't worry! There’s nothing to be nervous about...) In 3.25-hours, the curriculum covers the “how” and “why” of jewelry soldering by combining an overview of the tools, techniques and process + hands-on practice. Each student will use 3 different metals to fabricate textured stacking rings. You should also expect to have fun, meet interesting people and leave with the skills & knowledge to work independently! Sign-up today as class spaces fill quickly. We’re looking forward to meeting you. Safety Requirements (No Exceptions): • Closed-toed, low-heeled or no-heeled shoes • Comfortable “play-clothes”. No flowing sleeves or bulky fabrics • Long hair must be worn in a bun or ponytail • Protective eyewear will be provided and must be worn Location: The Studio address will be provided to Students who enroll in the class Tools & Materials: Tools will be provided and materials will cost an extra $25, which is collected in the Studio *To ensure we have supplies and a bench ready for you at class time, please review our Cancellation Policy: 30 days or more: Receive a full-refund. 14 days or more: 50% refund. The August Axel Jewelry Studio is a creative workshop in Venice Beach, CA. Not only does she believe in teaching "how", but "why" and this has made all of the difference to her students.
