Creativity waits for no vaccine! Right? Let’s come together, safely, via Zoom, so you may continue pushing forward with your jewelry-making goals. This entry-level class was created so students may become comfortable with a torch. (Yep, a torch! But don’t worry! There’s nothing to be nervous about…) The curriculum covers the “how” and “why” of jewelry soldering by combining an overview of the tools, techniques and process + hands-on practice. Each student will use 2 different metals to fabricate textured stacking rings. There are 3 options to participate: 1) As for tools and materials, Atlanta Area residents may “Rent” a kit, available for pick-up (In Peachtree City) prior to class. The rental is in the form of a PayPal deposit, which will be refunded 100%, when the tools are returned in good condition. 2) And for those outside of the Atlanta Area, you’ll receive a shopping list of materials and tools to acquire before the online class. (The total cost for all of the tools is $185 + shipping.) 3) If you’re not ready to commit to purchasing your own tools and materials, feel free to join, anyway! Even if you aren’t ready for the “hands-on” part of class, you’ll still walk away with valuable information, tips and tricks. You should also expect to have fun, connect with interesting, like-minded creative people and gain the skills & knowledge to work independently! After taking this class, students have options for growth. Check-out our Bezel Setting Class, Tube Setting, Earrings Workshop and Gold-Fill Workshop. Take one, take all. We love to see our students succeed and grow in the craft.
