Fusing with Iridescent Glass & Decorative Etching (2 session workshop)
In this exciting new class you will learn the basics of three glass techniques: fusing, glass etching (sandblasting) and slumping. First, students will create a fused piece with iridescent glass. Then they will apply a resist onto the piece and cut out a design, followed by sandblasting the glass piece. Lastly, they will remove the resist and slump the glass on a mold to fire-polish the surface and shape it into a three dimensional object. Thursdays 9:00am - 12:00pm
Diablo Glass School opened in 2001, creating a public access glass arts studio in Boston, Massachusetts.
