
What's more perfect than making an adorable, handmade stuffed animal for your holiday presents this year? The answer is nothing, absolutely nothing. These things are so cute! In this workshop, we are going to learn how to make these adorable stuffed polar bears. They're quick and simple and so much fun to make. Once you get the hang of the pattern you'll have more polar bears than a Coke commercial in no time! We'll be following a free pattern from our friends at The Knit Cafe, Toronto. This class is suitable for a new knitter who knows the basics. This is a great next level for anyone who's already taken the beginner Stitch & Sip workshop. Here's a breakdown of what you should already know: • Casting on • Knit Stitch • (Binding off) Here's a breakdown of what we'll be learning/reviewing: • Binding off • Casting on to live stitches • Knit 2 Together Decrease • Sewing seams • Embroidery stitches (for the eyes and nose) You will be responsible for bringing your yarn and knitting needles. • 1 ball (100g) of your favorite white yarn (or not, but these are polar bears). This pattern works for any size or kind of yarn, it all depends on you! • 1 pair of knitting needles in the recommended size on the yarn label I will provide: • Stuffing for the bears • Darning needles for sewing/embroidery • Embroidery floss for eyes/nose • Wine and holiday treats, of course!
