Photography: Contact Print Workshop
“You don't take a photograph. You make it.” -Ansel Adams- This is Module #3 of my Camera/Photography Class Series! This module is also a 2-class series. DAY 1 Materials: 20 pre-selected photos in .jpg 504 x 360 point of resolution in a flash drive. The rest of the material will be provided. Learning Goals: Understand the application of wet collodion and gum bichromate monochrome as a means of contact print positives. Course Agenda: 1. Historic context of wet collodion and gum bichromate and cyanotype. 2. Formula and application of wet collodion and gum bichromate monochrome. 3. Create digital negative. 4. Contact print positives. DAY 2 Materials: All the material will be provided. Learning Goals: Understand the application of gum bichromate and cyanotype as a means of contact print positives. Course Agenda: 1. Formula and application of gum bichromate four color and cyanotype. 2. Create digital negative. 3. Contact print positives. Please note that this module will take place over two days, 11 am to 5 pm each day*: You can choose from the below date combinations: 27 and 3 MAR/APR 29 and 31 MAR 5 and 7 APR 31 and 7 JUL/AUG 14 and 21 AUG 28 and 4 AUG/SEP 11 and 18 SEP 25 and 2 SEP/OCT 9 and 16 OCT 23 and 30 OCT The schedules could be changed to the convenience of the interested, with prior notice.
I am a designer and visual communicator. I studied at the Academy of Arts and Design of Mexico City, where I majored in photography. I am also a certified therapist. I taught various workshops in Mexico City, and now I am in Chicago to see the local art and provide all the knowledge that I have to all of the wonderful minds interested in my workshops!
