The primary purpose of the Simantikos "Modern 1" class is to help students gain: An understanding of basic modern vocabulary and technique as well as placement and proper posture and alignment.
Students will apply this understanding to given floor, center, across the floor, and improvisational combinations and perform confidently in front of peers and instructors weekly as well as in front of parents, friends, and family audience (during an informal last day showing) at the culmination of the ARC session.
Students will broaden their knowledge of movement quality and emotion and will show integrity and commitment through their strive towards "betterment" in every movement, every time.
