Come Throw Stones | Learn to Curl with the Windy City Curling Club
Want to give curling a try? Think you can train and be ready for the 2018 games? Come on down to Windy City Curling and learn what it’s all about! _________________________________________________________________________________ Rough Schedule: - 9:00pm – Introduction to Curling Off ice discussions led by our members including learning the basics of the game (rules, history, etiquette and safety). - 9:15pm – On Ice Lessons Get out on the ice and learn how to deliver stones and sweep (teaching and practice). - 10:45pm – Game Play We’ll put it all together and play 1 or 2 ends (adds in strategy and shot calling basics). - 11:00pm – Wrap Up Time for Questions & Answers (how to join, where to watch, etc). _________________________________________________________________________________ You are welcome to come early! We will have our league games happening prior to the Learn to Curl so you are invited to come watch our games (Games start ~6:45pm). Food/drinks are available on site. WHAT TO BRING Please bring a clean pair of shoes (carry them in and change once in the arena). You will also want to wear layers of light flexible clothing so you can adjust to the temperature. You will need to sign the appropriate waiver prior to stepping on the ice. CANCELLATIONS No cancellations. All sales are final. We are a non-for-profit center that is solely run on our membership volunteering and one of our goals is to provide curling as affordably as possible. Our operating costs for the ice time are a set rate and we must pay that whether or not we fill all the available slots. Thank you for your consideration

To accomplish this, we are dedicated to: - Providing the Chicago’s western suburbs with a state-of-the-art dedicated curling facility - Growing and building awareness of the sport through education. WCCC is a Learn to Curl training facility that offers training programs and group instructional ice time. - Engaging the younger generations through youth programs including club sport and youth leagues and university involvement. - Encouraging respectful sportsmanship through both recreational and competitive (state, national, international) opportunities and divisions (mens, womens, mixed, juniors, seniors, corporate) - Offering affordable curling for all members and guests
