Tea Towels & Rosé @ BIN 36
Join me at BIN 36 for a Sunday morning of tea towels and mimosas! BIN 36 offers a fun, delicious flight of different flavored mimosas and we'll start our time together by sampling some! Then, a server will be on hand to take our drink orders as we dive into our craft. I will be showing you the process of block printing to create your own custom stamps. Then, we'll use our stamps to print on a tea towel. A set of hand printed towels makes the perfect gift for a birthday, a new homeowner, or a new bride! Or, they'll look beautiful in your own home. WHAT YOU GET A white cotton towel All of the tools to use during our time together An assortment of inks for printing Block printing rubber to create your stamps A two hour block printing lesson A special workshop price on a BIN 36 glass of rosé! ABOUT THE VENUE BIN 36 is a new American restaurant influenced by the modern evolving cuisine. So much more than a traditional restaurant, BIN 36 is a thriving, one-stop destination for young professionals, area business people and Chicago visitors seeking everything from cappuccinos and small plates to a quick lunch, an afterwork social scene or full-service, casual fine dining—even convenient shopping for wines, books and gifts.
I am a Chicago artist and art educator. Inspired by the old sewing circles and expanding on the theme of intimate, creative social gatherings, I created J.Villa Workshop. I am hosting craft events at some of Chicago's most beloved bars, restaurants, coffee houses, boutiques, and cupcake shops. I love utilizing classic, traditional art/craft processes such as; weaving, embroidery, printmaking, and watercolor, and putting a contemporary spin on them to bring you a unique, accessible, and fun learning experience! There's nothing better than gathering with others to make something by hand, learning skills and processes that can be used again and again. At each J.Villa gathering, you will experience a thoughtfully curated event in an inspiring space, hand selected and/or handmade art materials, and enthusiastic guidance through the craft process.
