Intro to Canning Workshop
What if, with just a little bit of time and know-how, you could become more self-sufficient? What if you could create whole foods easily and efficiently? Well, you CAN! Get it? :) Come to our micro-ranch near Shadow Hills and learn the basics of the wonderful world of canning. You'll get to know the equipment, the utensils, the joys, how to avoid pitfalls, and, best of all, you'll get hands-on practice by canning fresh, organic, non-gmo, locally grown produce. Even better, you'll get a jar of something yummy to take home with you to enjoy later. In this class, we'll be canning candied jalapeños (so addictive!) and the most amazing tomato jam (you'll want to eat it ALL, I promise). We'll also cover a variety of foods and recipes so that you have a great understanding of all the wonderful things you can do. What you get to take home: -A jar of something yummy -Class packet including recipes and tips plus everything we covered in class
