Create Your Own Gemstone "Tree of Life"
Symbolic in many cultures, the “tree of life” is the inspiration for this project. These magical little sculptures bloom and grow out of sparkly copper, gold or silver wire along with gemstone beads including green adventurine, prehnite, tiger's eye, yellow turquoise and redstone. You can also choose to make your tree out of lustrous glass pearls for an elegant look. First, you’ll learn how to skillfully twist the beads onto the wire creating the leaves and branches. Then, you’ll master the technique of artfully combining your branches to build the trunk. Next, instruction will be given on how to achieve that “realistic touch” to make it look as it would in nature. Finally, you’ll “plant” your precious tree in a complementary small pot filled with stones and pebbles. Each tree stands approximately 6" - 7" tall. All materials and tools will be provided. Note: the fairy figurine and outside stones are shown for decorative purposes, as well as give you ideas on how to display your tree. They are not included but may be found at your local craft store or online. If you live within 10 miles of Culver City, I would be happy to come to your home. If you live farther, we can meet at my local mall in the food park, find a quiet corner and enjoy a beverage while you learn to make this sweet little tree. I've held private classes there before and it's a pleasant place to have a class. Receive a discount by inviting your friends! Even though this is a private class, you can invite up to two of your friends to learn with you. Please select one of the appropriate options. I'm flexible, so please send me your request for a desirable class date and time. Also, I would like to ask that you give me at least a 2-3 day advance notice so I can prep for your class. Thanks and I'll see you in class! Renee
