Hand Crafting Happy Hour: Embroidery
Come hang out with us and sip a drink while stitching an awesome embroidery piece! This event is great for newbies who want to learn embroidery, as well as those who already know how but want to practice a few different stitches while socializing and making a really cool piece. Instead of holding the class in a stuffy classroom, it's being hosted at a charming restaurant in LA! Anytime throughout the class you can order drinks, snacks, or even a meal from the venue. It's a great mix up of learning a new skill (or improving if you already know how) and having fun in an awesome social, supportive environment. Bring your friends or come and meet like-minded people! The class is instructed by a talented local artist. They will walk you step by step through the project as well as answer any questions you may have and help where needed.
I've explored crafts as a hobby for all of my life and, as a child, dreamed of becoming a teacher. I'm a lifelong student myself with two degrees from USC and one from UCLA (although I root for the Trojans in football!). Over the past few years I've focused mostly on the needle arts, developing an expertise in Cross-Stitching and Embroidery. I consider myself very lucky to be able to bring together my passion for crafts and my enthusiasm for teaching as both co-founder and instructor for Crafts On The Rocks.
