For the past 3 years, Ramsey has been teaching youth and families the ancient Earth Skills of survival, tracking and awareness as an instructor with 4 Elements Earth Education (www.4eee.org). After 7 years living in the Sierra Nevada and working on off-grid homesteads and small farms, he recently returned to his birthplace - Los Angeles, CA - to be closer to family. Ramsey has a healthy obsession with developing (and sharing!) a broad and deep skill set in wilderness living skills. For him, these skills are about rekindling something primal - resilience, creativity, joy, a caretaking ethic - to become more fully human. Trained at the world famous Tracker School, he practices and shares many arts with students of all ages: knife safety, shelter building, friction-fire making, landscape and animal tracking, trapping and ethics, natural camouflage and movement, basket weaving, cordage twisting, bow making, expanding awareness and much more. He is excited to bring this unique type of education to Los Angeles.
