M A K E R S M E S S is a place for people to make messes or masterpieces while discovering and perfecting their artistic talents. We are an art studio located in Silver Lake that offers art and design classes for kids and adults. We also host rad events. Check out the calendar or all our events and come make a mess with us!
What we'll do
In this one day session with Ana Victoria you will learn watercolor techniques for painting glass jars using layering and transparencies. You will also work on developing your personal style for painting flowers and exploring your individual color palette. Ana will demonstrate this technique and work one on one with each student as well. Students must bring: + Watercolor paper pad: recommended size 9” x 12” + Watercolor paints: Pan sets or tubes are both great. Cotman, Winsor & Newton, Sennelier and Schmincke are GREAT brands. + Different sized round brushes: Size 0, 1 and 8 are recommended + Palette: this can be a ceramic/plastic bowl, or you can use the back of your pan set as well + Cup for water
