Hello Music Fans! My name is Dewaine and I have owned and operated my own DJ business since 2011. I have DJ'd around the bay area playing and holding residencies at F8, AsiaSF, Showdown, Club OMG, The Abbey Tavern, Neck of The Woods and Nickies Lounge. More importantly, I have a passion for teaching and sharing my music with others. This class is ideal for absolute beginners but can be tailored towards a more seasoned DJ. In this class you will learn how to mix using Serato DJ and Technic 1200 Turntables. We will go over how the turntable operates, and how to use the mixer. Serato is a software that will enable us to mimic playing on real vinyl while using MP3 songs, bring your own tunes if you would like! I will teach you basic music theory, beatmatching and mixing. In the end, we will be able to record a 15 minute set with songs of your choosing! Show off to your friends! I will send you an MP3 recording of the set once we are done. I will master and edit the mix before I send it to you. I believe the best gift you can give someone is music - I am excited to help ignite your passion!
