Leather Journal Workshop
Refillable "travelers" journals and planners have become all the rage. It's no wonder, since the refillable journal has the flexibility to be used in many different ways, including art journaling, writing, scrapbooking, structured planning and organization, and even as a stand-in for your wallet! In this workshop, you'll have the chance to make your own customized leather notebook and paper refills. We'll also explore some of the many ways people have made use of these journals, and discuss sources of supplies. You'll leave with your own notebook and reference handouts. No previous leatherworking skill is required. The location of the workshop is a house where there are cats. We vacuum right before the class, and if needed, the cats will be kept out of the class area.
I'm a writer/musician/artist/crafter/geek with wide interests and a fascination with learning. I love to share what I've learned, and spent 15 years as a college instructor, teaching web coding. I believe that if you want to learn something, you can, and that creativity is in all of us. I'm the author of Middle English Surnames in West Yorkshire, which may be found on Amazon and at other book retailers. In 2016, I plan to work on recording an album of original music. Stay tuned!
