Beach Yoga with Brad and Friends

Santa Monica, CA , United States

About Your Host

Brad has been teaching his beach yoga class for over 7 years and the class has become a staple activity for people in the Santa Monica/Los Angeles area, as well as travellers and vacationers to the area. When this beach yogi is not enriching lives through yoga, he is enriching lives through music as the Music Director of the Glendale Youth Orchestra. Brad is deeply grateful to have studied Hatha yoga with Max Strom and Saul David Raye, as well as Sarah Powers, Georg Feuerstein, Gabriella Giubilaro, and Tias Little. With a background as a symphony and opera conductor, Brad has been deeply influenced in his life and teaching by the heart-first example of his mentor, Leonard Bernstein.

What we'll do

How beautiful it is to practice at the water's edge, in the mild temperatures and gentle breeze that are part of Santa Monica beach, even in the winter. WHEN: 1. Join us this weekend -- both Saturday and Sunday from 10:30am-12 -- for memorable mornings of yoga and fellowship. 2. Or for a Sunset Session -- Monday, Tuesday, & Wednesday evenings. What better way to conclude a day than by doing a yoga practice in the fresh air, with the sight and sound of the crashing surf, and the sun lowering over the horizon. Sunset Beach Yoga finishes just in time to bid good night to the setting sun. Beach Yoga with Brad was named "Best of L.A. 2012" by Los Angeles Magazine, AND "Best of L.A. 2012" and "Best of L.A. 2014" by L.A. Weekly. Come do yoga in the largest "studio" in California! WHERE: Takes place at Santa Monica Beach. Walk up Marine Street, all the way to the water, by Lifeguard Station #29. BRING: A large towel or mat. Sunscreen. Your great spirit. A sense of adventure and beauty!
