Carneros Wetlands by Kayak
Carneros Wildlife Preserve Tour Still Life and Surprise around every turn, the essence of Surf & Terroir This is a wonderful tour for kayaking, and we only recommend kayak on this tour if you are an experienced paddleboarder due to the length and potential wind direction for the last 1.5 miles. Either way, you're going to have a wonderful time! NEW for 2016! Six miles of twists and turns through the Carneros Wildlife Refuge. As you emerge from the tail-waters, the ebb throttles back with the sound of swallows, you unplug from the cloud, and awaken to the rhythm of your paddle breaking the surface of protected waters. Paddlers enjoy rolling champagne vineyards, Old Monterey Bay shipwrecks, views of both Mt. Tamalpais and Mt. Diablo looming large for several miles, and a brilliant display of birds including golden eagle, red tail hawk, osprey, egret, great blue herron, Argentinian swallows, Oregon ducks and more.
