Wooly Chukka Boots with Aaron from Osborn Shoes
Create Your Own Osborn Shoes This course is taught by Aaron Osborn, co-founder of the brand Osborn Shoes, and in general, a fun guy :) In this 2-hour course, you will learn how to make a pair of felt wool boots, using Osborn shoe last, patterns and welted Vibram rubber sole. You will leave class with a finished pair of boots for you to wear proudly around - you made them! This class is for both women and men (size 6 women - size 12 men). Upon purchase/registration, we will contact you prior to class to finalize some info (like your shoe size). Workshops are about 6-7 hours in length each day. And we will have a break for lunch in between. Students trace the patterns, cut the uppers, sew them by hand, and assemble the uppers. Lasting will be assisted by Aaron, and the Vibram soles are attached with non-toxic glue (low-voc). Dark grey, or light grey wools available, as well as a few different lace options. Small class sizes to ensure a fun and productive time. *If you have your own felt/wool color you'd like to use - you are allowed to bring that to class to use instead of what we have in stock* Check our site: http://brooklynshoespace.com/schedule/2015/12/19/wool-chukka-boot-making
