Become a Japanese Chef: Learn How to Roll Sushi! (Stone Creek Bar and Restaurant)
Don’t let the sushi chef have all the fun! Come and learn the spreading, layering, tucking and rolling. There is no wrong way of making sushi! In this fun, hands-on social cooking class, you will learn all the skills needed to make sushi-rolls, including how to make sushi rice, select sushi-grade fish, with additional, gourmet neta (ingredients) to enhance your dining experience. Salmon is used in this class along with carrot, avocado, cucumber and nori. We provide all the equipment and ingredients, which are easy to find at local markets or are available in every home kitchen. Our events are casual – from the cooking enthusiast who wants to be a part of every step to the friend who’d rather assist (and taste) and meant to be fun and instructive, not hard core. After the event, you will bring home the food you made and a recipe with detailed procedures. Secure your seats 15 minutes before start time, especially if part of a large group. Food and drinks are available for purchase from the venue and are NOT included in the ticket price. Outside food and drink are not allowed.
Hi! My name is Billy and I'm the founder and CEO of CocuSocial in NYC! CocuSocial hosts recreational cooking events at local bars. A class at CocuSocial does more than help you learn to cook. It brightens up your social life. Friends and strangers gather in a welcoming local bar or restaurant for informative, hands-on lessons in creating delightful entrees, from rolling up tasty morsels of sushi to delicately folding Asian dumplings, from preparing colorful, flavorful desserts to baking cupcakes. We invite you to come with friends, cook a dish, grab a drink, and have fun!
