Add the contemporary Boro aesthetic to your everyday clothing in this 4 hr class. We will explore all the ways to lovingly mend and patch our clothes with Boro stitches and patches. Students will need to bring something to patch or mend (jeans and bags work great). Some practice materials will also be provided. Fabrics, thread, and tools will be provided. Instruction will also be given on keeping a fabric diary/memory book with your beloved scraps of cloth that have meaning to you. These Japanese stab-bound fabric books are a joy to have and are small enough to carry with you to work on. Love for hand-sewing a must! Materials: Be sure to bring your old clothes or bags to mend.
