About Your Host

Jess is a Chef, Cookbook Author, Herbalist, and outspoken food security and agriculture activist. She's the owner of Tin Canyon Farm, an Escargot & Mushroom farm, where she cultivates, cooks, and holds personal retreats. She draws her inspiration from her diverse cultural background, a family history with deep roots in food, and the natural mountain environment that surrounds her.

What we'll do

Whether it's sweet or savory or whether you call them hand pies or empanadas, these treats are sure to please everyone. In this 2.5 hour class, you'll learn how to make the best dough, fillings (one sweet and one savory), and shapes to be show stoppers at your next family or friend get-together.  All tools and ingredients are supplied. Those with long hair, please bring a hair tie.
