Pottery Class - Private Lessons
Your DIY Experience, Come Play in Clay! In this two hour private class, learn to throw a mug on the potter's wheel or make a canister from slab. Learn the magic of throwing on the wheel. This mesmerizing activity is a great way to escape the daily grind, get your hands dirty and make something from clay. Everything you need is provided, including 4 pounds of clay and the use of studio tools. Remember to wear some clothes you don't mind getting dirty, clip your fingernails for the best experience, bring your creative spirit and get ready to play-in-clay!
Steven completed a BA and an MFA at San Francisco State University. His ceramic sculpture can be found in many private and permanent collections including the de Young Museum, Ceramics Research Center, Mission Clay Products, Gladding McBean, Dolan Law Firm and Lincoln Public Library. He is an award-winning sculptor and has shown his work nationally and internationally. He creates a variety of artwork from complex sculptural assemblages to functional pottery. Steve opened SMAart Gallery & Studio in San Francisco in September, 2012. He now works full time running the gallery, managing the studio and offering ceramic classes.
