LEARN CARTOONING IN A DAY! A fun 1-day workshop
In this enjoyable ONE DAY WORKSHOP, aimed at beginners but open to all levels, you’ll learn how to create your own cartoon characters (similar to the character types found in Garfield, Doonesbury, Cathy and other humorous comic strips) and show them in action, even if you’ve never drawn before. Starting with simple shapes such as ovals and cylinders, you'll learn how to draw cartoon heads, faces and figures in pencil and finish them in ink. This class is open to adults and teenagers. If the student is younger than a teenager, an adult will also need to sign up and attend along with them. You can either bring a sack lunch, or pop out during the lunch break to grab a bite at one of the local cafes in the area. Note: You can bring your own materials, or purchase an inexpensive materials kit (not included in course fee) in the class. (A representative from Artists and Craftsman Supply Store will be there for the first 20 minutes of class, for those who would like to buy kits.) Looking for a LONGER cartooning class?
