Sketch in Seattle
Walkabout with watercolor (or dry media if you prefer) and see the sights of the city! Depending on the weather we may be outside and working on observational drawing on location in a park or observing Seattle's coffee scene should the rain set in. Every session will explore different locations and viewpoints. All skill levels are encouraged. We will meet up and discuss: observational drawing fundamentals techniques for traveling with art materials where to start - choosing your view, what to include, what to focus on... adding color and movement steps to building skill and confidence in art Any easily portable media is welcome, and bringing your own sketchbook is encouraged! Materials available will be: pencil / graphite watercolors charcoal or conté chalk pastels Materials will be available if you are interested in experimenting, but feel free to bring your own. Local Seattle designer and artist. Particularly drawn to plants, books, poetry, and culture. Holds a BA in Fine Art from Pacific Northwest College of Art, 200 hour yoga instructor certified, and two years teaching experience. Interests include nature, urban hiking, architecture, the human figure, and community development.
