Learn how to make a translucent, single layer patchwork with a technique borrowed from Korean bojagi. You will be starting a small textile piece that can be completed outside of class. Tools are available for use and supplies (thread and cotton voile) are provided for a micro-patchwork. You will also receive a tool and supply list should you wish to bring your own and/or continue the work outside of class. Contact me if you would like to use your own fabric for the demonstration.
Amy is a graphic designer and textile artisan living in Seattle. She is inspired by improvisational quilts and Korean bojagi. Her work has been exhibited in the Korean Bojagi Forum on Jeju Island, Korea and at Teahouse Kuan Yin in Seattle.
