Learn the basics of welding in this Seattle based workshop. The Host Hello! My name is Ryan Smith, welding has been my career for the last few years. I have found that many people are interested in learning how to do my type of work, so I have set up a class for people to learn how to weld! I scope each of my lessons around what you are hoping to do in the real world. If you are working towards building your own deck railing or table, I teach the type of welding that will benefit you most in that field. Or if you are more interested in auto body repair, we work more with thin metal. All levels welcome! This is open to all people! young or old! I love teaching people and have seen so many people come in without this knowledge and then leave having this excellent skill. This is really something that I enjoy doing and know others do as well. I make lots of different art pieces and have taught lots of people the basics to welding. Everyone who I have taught has enjoyed it thoroughly and learned some great life skills. It would be a relaxed one on one environment. I have all of the supplies necessary. Lessons could include learning how to make joint welds, straight beads, basics on welder settings, how to properly set up a welding area, how to use different types of welders, and maybe make a small sculpture! Let me know. I can give lessons for people who want to learn about industrial welds, or I can teach how to do more artsy welds and make small creations.
