Creative Lab at Madison: Sculpture & Mixed Media Workshop
Ages: 5-10 Duration: 2 hours Join us for hands-on creative experience in sculpture and mixed media! Students will use art supplies, found objects/treasures, and household/office waste (bottle caps, toilet paper rolls, corks, etc) to create unique works of art. With supplies from Seattle Recreative and the guidance of a master of recycle art, students will develop problem solving skills and expand their imaginations and ideas about art. Each session will start with a different prompt to get those brains in gear.
First of all, I would like to point out a couple important things: 1 Art is a magic that brings you calm and relaxation! 2 We are so lucky to live in the most beautiful state Washington! I used to be a pediatrician, because I love helping people and working with kids, but I moved to Seattle and fell in love with art and hiking. I changed my life, bought Thrive Art School, hike a lot and climbed up to bunch of 14000 feet mounts like Mt.Rainer (twice), Mt. Evans and Mt. Elbert...to be continued. So, now about Thrive: Thrive Art school is a local school in Seattle area that has two locations (Madison Valley and Ravenna) and it turned 16 years old in 2016! Thrive Art school offers year-round Fine Art classes and Special Interest series for children, teens and adults. Our students not only learn how to draw and paint, they develop creative problem-solving skills and increase their self-confidence.
