Seattle Citywide Roller Derby
Come roller-skating in Seattle. Have some fun with the City of Seattle's newest sport! We are having a great time with our fitness skating and skills training for all levels with plans to grow to have the first city sponsored USARS team and host open scrimmages. Some people come out for exercise, for community, to have fun and gain a skill. Other people are already on leagues or have retired from derby and come our for the fun. Skaters range from 16 to sixty five; anyone can learn (and no hitting is expected or even allowed until you have the skills and want to lean towards competitive skating). Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned player, you are welcome to join us! We have a lot of extra gear such as helmets, and pads, but you will need to bring some quad skates and have a mouth guard. If you don't want to borrow used gear please bring Knee and elbow pads and wrist guards. You can just drop in, skate, watch or join in anytime. Help us pave the way for other cities to join in the USA Roller Sports Roller Derby mainstream movement. Join the first class at a discount and then decide where you want to take it! Every Sunday at the Ballard Community Center at 10:30 am - noon. Read some reviews here! http://bit.ly/1TDv8iY
