If you can't get enough of the free-form urban brush lettering you see all over Instagram, this class is for you! In this three-hour class, we'll delve into two alphabets -- a sans serif capital alphabet, and a loose script alphabet -- that fuse seamlessly for your urban lettering project.
Less structured than calligraphy, this class will more closely resemble your regular handwriting. We'll utilize brush and ink to craft a simple class project, something you can take away and frame or give away.
Light refreshments will be provided and all materials are yours to take home.
*Please note: Due to the nature of our business, we do not accept refunds on classes. If you cannot attend a certain date, please contact us and we can make arrangements to transfer you to another class.

Calligraphy + Lettering Workshops in Seattle
Hi, I'm Sarah! I am a Lettering Artist in Seattle who is passionate about cultivating community. I teach calligraphy and hand lettering and have had over 300 students come through my curriculum in recent years. In my classes, you can expect to learn tried and tested techniques and practical application in a supportive, engaging and interactive environment. My teaching style is warm and demonstrative and I frequently receives rave reviews from my students. In addition to regular calligraphy and lettering classes, you can plug into our monthly Seattle Calligraphy Meetup.
I took my first calligraphy class in the 6th grade and fell in love with the art form. In college I studied Visual Design with a Certified Image Master where I honed my design instincts and calligraphy gives me an opportunity to blend my design and education background. A few years ago I rediscovered modern calligraphy and have studied with renown calligraphers and letterers.
