Turns out grannies are hipper than you think. The old-fashioned hobby of crochet is more popular than ever, and you can learn how to do it!
In this small, casual class, you’ll get plenty of individual attention from your instructor. You'll learn all the basics of crochet: making a foundation chain, the most often-used stitches, reading a simple pattern, and more. As our class project, we’ll be making a set of eco-friendly cup or bottle cozies.
Price of class includes:
* US Size K (6.5 mm) crochet hook
* 1 skein bulky weight yarn
* Yarn needle
* Handmade drawstring workbag

I created You're Crafty! Craft and DIY classes because I love making things and I want you to love making things, too. I'm a lifelong crafter. My areas of specialty include knitting, crochet, sewing, cross stitch, and making costumes. I offer a variety of small, intimate classes for all experience and skill levels. You'll have fun and meet new friends while challenging yourself to learn something new.
When I'm not making stuff or teaching others how to make stuff, I'm walking/running in the Berkeley hills (walking up the hills, running down them), snuggling with my cats, and performing with Bay Area Flash Mob (often as a zombie).
See you in class! Let's craft together!
