Knitting has been growing in popularity again and it's a great way to have fun, relax, and make something you can be proud of. Come join my small group class to learn this truly addictive art. What will you learn? Cast on, knit stitch, purl stitch, bind on, and how to read a pattern. You will then apply these skills to make a beautiful scarf that you can take home with you! Price includes: Tea and cookies Set of size US 8 straight knitting needles Scarf pattern designed by me Your choice of wool or acrylic (for those sensitive to wool) yarn in a variety of colors Basic instructions booklet so you don't forget anything

Heather is a knit designer, teacher and writer. Since 2010 she has taught classes on gardening, knitting, spinning, the use of natural dyes, and the archaeology and mythology of fiber work. Heather is also a Master Gardener and grows many of the plants she uses for natural dyes in her own garden. Heather has published articles on dyeing fibers with natural plant based dyes in online blogs such as Crochet Addict, UK. She has published patterns in international online fiber magazines and has also published articles in the e-magazine Wild Sister, and has contributed chapters on different goddesses to the books, Naming the Goddess (Moon Books, 2015) and the upcoming Goddesses in America (Moon Books, 2016). A self-proclaimed knitting addict, Heather designs her own pieces and has a shop on Ravelry in addition to her own website where she blogs and offers classes and patterns.
