Join in on your DIY Pottery Adventure What a better way to play than with a ball of clay in one hand and a cup of coffee in the other. Take a “Claycation” with us! We begin with introductions and basic wheel demonstration by one of our instructors: Alex, Candace, Jasmine, Jason, Leslie, Sasi or Tony. You will learn the basic steps of throwing a cylinder on the potter’s wheel, then each participant gets up to four 1-pound balls of clay to try their hand at the potter’s wheel. You can keep your new works of art, just choose a glaze color and we will dry and trim your work, fire it, glaze it and re-fire it. When it’s ready, Steve will notify you it is ready for pick-up. *Please arrive 10 minutes early so we can start on time. Late arrivals disrupt the flow of the demonstration and won’t give you the time you will want to create. Coffee, Tea and Water available upon request. What to bring Remember to wear some clothes and shoes you don’t mind getting dirty, clip your fingernails for the best experience, bring your creative spirit and get ready to play-in-clay!
