Polymer Clay Techniques with Kathy Jaller

San Francisco, CA , United States

About Your Host

Jenny Lemons is a colorful, modern line of hand-painted & block printed women's clothing and home goods run by San Francisco-based artist, Jennie Lennick. Her retail store in the Mission District is a community space where she facilitates DIY workshops, produces her products, and showcases the talents of other local artists. All products offered are manufactured locally in the San Francisco Bay Area. We are passionate about teaching others to slow down and create things by hand. We love helping our students make items to beautify their homes and give as gifts while learning traditional craft techniques. All of our teachers are formally trained artists, and bring this perspective into their teaching- we encourage students to experiment, express themselves, and have fun!

What we'll do

It goes by many names—Sculpey, Fimo, Premo—and it’s an easy to use, brightly colored, and just plain fun material. All you need is a toaster oven and the know-how, and that's where this class comes in. Learn 3 techniques for working with polymer clay, get tips to avoid common mistakes, and leave with a finished necklace or earrings you can wear right away. No experience necessary. Tools, clay, snacks, wine, beverages and 20% off of everything in the shop is included! About the Instructor: Kathryn Jaller makes things with words, clay, metal... most anything she can get her hands on. A content strategist by day, she has shown her jewelry at West Coast Craft and her Necklace Aura Reading project about the intersection of identity, anxiety, and fashion was featured by Kickstarter.
