Traps & Snares Clinic
Make Primitive Traps! Learn the fine art of primitive traps and snares. From trapping wild game in a survival situation, to setting human “security alarm” traps, this class will teach you to create simple, elegant, and highly functional traps and snares out of nothing more than “sticks and stones”. This is information you are guaranteed to find almost nowhere else in the world. Location This class is offered at our beautiful wilderness camp in the Santa Cruz mountains and will run 1 full day. Come spend a day surrounded by ancient redwoods! The price has been discounted down from $195 to $150 to make it more accessible to interested parties, but for this reason food is not provided. Taught by our experienced survival instructors who have lived these skills and fed themselves using these traps in survival situations, this class will explore the various methods and categories of primitive traps. Dead-fall traps, snares, lethal vs. non-lethal, trigger mechanisms, trip-lines, and various other trapping tools and schema will be discussed. All materials are included in your class fee. Prerequisites/Requirements: - Ages: 16 & up. Your clinic includes: - 1 day clinic, all materials included. Your packing list: - We provide all the equipment for your survival adventure! Just come prepared with clothing to spend a day in the outdoors, lunch, snacks, & water, and a notebook & pen to takes notes. CANCELATION POLICY This experience's cancelation policy is different from Verlocal's default policy due to me having to acquire a permit from the park in advance. As such, guests must cancel 7 days prior to the date of the experience, whether to cancel attendance completely or to move dates. By purchasing, you will be agreeing to this policy. Thank you!

He is an accomplished entrepreneur and outdoor guide, traveling the world to climb mountains, surf big waves, study with indigenous tribes, and lead groups of clients ranging from school groups to corporate executives to tap in to their true potential through wilderness adventures. He also sits on the board for several nonprofit organizations and is the owner of CrossFit West – the largest CrossFit facility in the western United States. At the heart of his management style and mission statement is the desire to cultivate environmental stewardship. He has also been featured in international publications and on MTV.
