I teach swimming lessons for all ages and abilities. Beginning with mothers/infants and extending up to competitive stroke technique and traithalon training. I also specialize in water Fear/Phobias for Adults, Teens and Children. Swimming is a skill that everyone should have and an instructor who you work well with is the key to success.
This is a one-on-one personal lesson catered to your specific strengths and weaknesses. No matter what your skill level is, I will walk you through improving your swimming abilities step by step. This is a fun opportunity to learn an important life skill, brush up on a rusty childhood pastime, or take your strong swimming to the next level!
We will meet at the beautiful and spacious Clark Memorial Swim Center in Walnut Creek for some swimming fun!

I have a passion for the water. It has been feeding my soul since I was a young boy. I have been bringing this passion to people in the form of swimming lessons since the age of 10 years old-- I have almost 20 years of experience teaching. I enjoy teaching all ages and abilities by connecting with people on a personal level while teaching through customized technique training, unique for each individual.
My passion and skill resulted in an athletic scholarship and opportunity to swim at the Division 1 level at Miami University in Oxford Ohio. I was part of the 2006 Mid America Conference Championship Team as well as an Individual Confrence Champion in the 100 yard Breaststroke. My breaststroke split in the 200 Medley Relay was top 5 in the NCAA.
Since my swimming career has ended I have focused on my career as a psychotherapist. I have my Masters Degree from John F. Kennedy University in Transpersonal Counseling Psychology and am a practicing counselor, coach, and therapist. I believe that my ability to connect with and communicate well with people is part of what makes me such a unique swimming insructor.
I also integrate these two passions in some unique ways. I enjoy working with adults who have fears or phobias of the water. I use my counseling and swimming instruction experience to work with the shame and fear that can come with having not yet learned how to swim.
I also have a portion of my therapy practive dedicated to Exercise Psychotherapy. This is
