The High Sierra is one of the crown jewels of the United States. I've been exploring it since I was six years old.
If you've dreamed of being comfortable backpacking in the woods, sleeping in a cozy tent, swimming in pristine lakes, hiking to 12,000 elevation, then this may be a great primer for you. The Sierra is my second home and I enjoy sharing the feeling of being deep within these mountains.
These days will be physically challenging. If you don't have gear, I can help arrange some for you. The length of the trip can vary depending on where you'd like to go and what you'd like to see. You can also leave it in my hands to show you some of my favorite aspects of the Sierra. By the end of this trip, you will know how to backpack and take care of yourself in the woods.
Hope to see you out there! All my best. Will.

Born in New York City and raised in Santa Cruz, CA. I loved the wilderness and was always in it. My first mentor was a bear of a man named Tim Corcoran with Headwaters Outdoor School. I highly recommend seeing the woods with this man.
College in Virginia. Met my wonderful wife Brynn and brought her out west.
I work remodeling homes and trailer parks. Interesting and, to me, beautiful work. I love to cook, especially when it involves getting creative with leftovers. I eat well and exercise constantly, playing soccer, volleyball, surfing, tennis, backpacking and anything else I can get my hands on. Winter camping is a new thing that I love but is quite dangerous, I'm signed up to get Level 1 Avalanche certification this winter.
I am 32 years old. Most likely, in whatever we do, my dog Norman will be joining us (unless you are allergic!). He is a great pup.
