Summit Yoga Hike: Welch-Dickey Loop
ESCAPE THE CITY AND IMMERSE YOURSELF IN NATURE FOR A DAY Backcountry Yoga's Summit Yoga Hike Series focuses on introducing you to some of the most beautiful views and hikes of the White Mountains. Each are a full day experience including a morning meditation and a mountain yoga class. The full series has been created to gear you up for increasingly difficult terrain, ending with a New Hampshire 4,000 foot peak! Single Day hike options are available as well. Each hiker will be screened over the phone or live chat to ensure that group goals and physical abilities are in line. If you are not interested in traveling at a group pace, this adventure may not be right for you. Welch-Dickey Loop Saturday, June 11th This is a loop hike across the summits of Welch and Dickey Mountains, providing many views along the way as the trail winds its away across open ledges. This trail is considered moderate due to the scrambles and intense elevation gain in certain parts, but is a fantastic introduction hike to hiking novices. The full loop is 4.5 Miles and will take approximately 6 hours with included Yoga class. All timing is based on group hiking pace and subject to change.
Laura is a avid east coast skier, professional hiking guide, and full time yoga instructor. She is 200 hour registered yoga teacher that studied under the guidance of Taylor & Philippe Wells of Prana Power Yoga. She is a mountaineer in training, Wilderness First Aid Certified and owner of Backcountry Yoga, a yoga&outdoor adventure company based out of Boston. Laura's passion is helping people experience yoga and the outdoors from a new and empowering perspective. Laura's classes are power vinyasa influenced. Built on sun and moon sequences, her classes incorporate strength, increased heart rate, and body&breath connection.
