Glassblowing or Flameworking Teen Summer Camps
Want your teens to not only learn a new skill but enjoy one of the most creative camps in Boston!? Join us at Diablo Glass School as we link up with the Museum of Fine Arts to offer a FOUR DAY intensive camp of glass making. Each student chooses either glassblowing or flameworking as their preferred morning studio and then all teens come together in the afternoon to work in the kiln forming studio. Along with learning techniques of different types of glass manipulation each week includes a tour of the MFA's glass collection Class runs Monday- Thursday 9-4, students will work in preferred morning studio 9-12 before breaking for lunch, then all students will come together and work in the flat shop 1-4 Students have the option to bring or order lunch. Glassblowing Class Price: $ 650.00 Flameworking Class Price: $545.00 if class dates don't fit into your schedule, message us and we can accommodate you and your party to create a class at the times best for you
Diablo Glass School opened in 2001, creating a public access glass arts studio in Boston, Massachusetts. Diablo is a place where beginning and experienced glass artists are welcome to share a nurturing environment, to grow and develop their creative skills in a warm, inviting atmosphere. Diablo offers different level classes and facilities in various disciplines, exposing a broad spectrum of people to exciting glass techniques in glassblowing, flameworking, fused glass and stained glass. By connecting students to professional national and international glass artists, we provide a learning experience that constantly offers new information and challenges. Diablo currently has partnerships with institutions such as the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston University, Massachusetts College of Arts and Design, Decordova Museum and Sculptural Park, and Verlocal.
