About Your Host

Tim Mousel, the owner of The Edge Personal Training is a trainer to the trainers! He has traveled nationwide teaching at fitness conferences attended by personal trainers, physical therapists and athletic trainers in need of continuing education credits. The courses cover the latest cutting edge information in the fields of exercise science, biomechanics, and fitness training. Since 1993 he has been teaching personal training programs at two of Houston's colleges. He's been actively involved in the fitness community since 1987. His extensive experience in the industry enables YOU to get results. A Bachelor of Arts degree in Physical education and coaching (K-12), and a Master of Science degree in Sports Science from the United States Sports Academy have given Tim the ability to train clients in a professional, effective manner. Tim was the Strength and Conditioning Coach for two-time world boxing champion Reggie Johnson. He is former chief Physical Training Instructor for the HCC Law Enforcement Academy and teaches Physical Education (Exercise Science, Theory of Exercise, Fitness Testing, Fitness Industry Operations, Advanced Weight Training & Conditioning, Personal Training) at Houston's local college. He's also an instructor for the American Red Cross in First Aid, CPR and AED. Tim is a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (N.A.S.M.) and the American Council on Exercise (A.C.E.). Tim has been training in the martial arts since 1980.

What we’ll do

Join Tim Mousel at The Edge Personal Training studio for fun and effective training. Whether your goals are weight loss, body transformation, athletic performance or just better health, it’s hard to do it alone. Everyone can benefit from having a trainer/coach. Our supportive group makes you feel like you’re not alone. Whatever your goals, you’ll be guided towards achieving your best. This is not the typical “get lost in the crowd” boot camp class. Each session is limited to 10 participants. This enables each person to receive individual attention and support during the session. We find the smaller group size helps to maximize your results. Weight loss, increased athletic performance and body transformation are all benefits that can be achieved in the Small Group Personal Training sessions. A typical session includes training on the Functional Trainer, TRX, Rip Trainer, Surge, Monster Bands, Squat Rack, Kettlebells, Dumbbells, Sprints, Interval Training, Plyometrics, Calisthenics, Medicine Ball, Resistance Tubing, Speed Agility Ladder, Core Training and Stretching. When the weather is nice we’ll do the first half of the session in our private fenced in grassy area and the second half inside the studio.
