We offer a warm, intimate, and unique environment where professional, seasoned chef instructors share their knowledge and experience. We cover ingredient and tool instruction first, and offer valuable nutritional information in a lecture before students dive into the menu for the day. Get ready for hands-on cooking classes with our chefs and assistants while learning interesting techniques and delicious, easy-to-duplicate recipes! With two locations, in Berkeley and Oakland, California, Kitchen we have the most fun cooking classes in the East Bay and San Francisco Bay Area!

What we'll do

Learn how to make delicious and healing bone broth! Join Certified Nutrition Consultant, Lila Volkas, to bring you a workshop on the best ways to make bone broth. Learn how to use it in exciting recipes and therapeutically for supporting your health. We’ll enjoy a broth bar with homemade broth and toppings. Bone broth is known for its role in support your gut, joints, immune system and more! Get insights into how the health benefits of consuming bone broth work and learn everything you need to know to make it successfully at home. About the Instructor: Hello! I'm Lila. I work as a Holistic Nutritionist, health educator and food illustrator and writer. I believe food can be our best medicine. Food has played a major role in my own healing journey and allows me to connect with others and help them deepen their relationship with what they put in their body.. Lila received my education from Bauman College: Holistic Nutrition in Berkeley, CA. She was inspired to follow this path by my own four-year healing journey from chronic skin, digestive and fatigue issues. I have come to recognize the onset of these health challenges as a blessing in disguise. They strengthened my ability to listen and attune to my body's needs and led me to my dream job of helping others find healing through food. What to wear/bring to class: Please wear close-toed shoes to all classes. If you have shoulder-length hair or longer, please wear it back and away from your face; we have plenty of hair ties in the kitchen for you to use and keep.
