What we'll do

Unplug for a rejuvenating walk above a wild ocean. Locals love, and sometimes forget about, this Instagram gem at San Francisco’s western edge. But there’s more to this iconic place than meets the eye. Whether you live here or have just one more day to see the city, take a trip out to "Lands End" to immerse yourself in nature and unplug from the urban. You will feel recharged and inspired! The 2.5 hour hike begins at the Coastal Trail at Lands End Look Out and Visitors Center (near the Cliff House restaurant). The 1.5 mile "Out and Back" trail weaves through time and space like a tale of two cities – coastal wilderness meets high-tech civilization. You will see and hear all about the ruins of the Sutro Baths, created in 1894 by Adolph Sutro. His vision was to bring the nintynine percent of the public, out to see his 1.7 million gallon sea-water filled swimming pool and other recreational attractions. Besides history, we look for pods of porpoise, whales, pelicans, hawks, sea otters, and other wildlife – as we walk towards the Golden Gate Bridge. We Bring our 35+ years of experience, working on these trails with the "National Park Service" and "Golden Gate National Recreation Area." We love to share our knowledge of the cultural history, flora and fauna - which includes 36 endangered species in this designated UNESCO bioreserve. Requirements: -Ability to walk 3+/- miles over mostly mild trail with a couple moderately steep stair sections. To get to the Labyrinth there is a short, but very steep stair trail to walk down and back up.
