Workshop Overview Woodworking is the original age-old craft and one of the most versatile skills. With some woodworking know-how and the right tools, you can create anything. Introduction to Woodworking gives you that knowledge. The class is based on the concept of guidance, and students will be coached through the step-by-step process of building a stool. During this class, you’ll learn the qualities of wood, the necessary measurements, the proper assembly, and how to finish the project. By the end of the course, you’ll walk away with a stool you created and the woodworking knowledge to construct your own future projects and designs. What you will learn Modern Woodworking is broken down into three separate parts: the steps needed to construct a stool. You will be introduced to the required tools and safety precautions, which will be elaborated upon throughout the workshop. After getting acquainted with the lingo and the environment, you’ll get set up to work. You will cut components, shape components, sand components, assemble components, shape more components, and assemble more components! After it’s all said and done, you’ll put some finish on your very own footstool and call it a night.
