Start Your DIY Embroidery Adventure
Are you ready to take a deep dive into the world of embroidery? We thought so! Join us for a brand new two-week intensive embroidery workshop!
In the first session on Tuesday, January 8th from 7-9:30, we will start with the basics and go over everything from how to thread a needle to stretching fabric around a hoop. On this evening learn 7 embroidery stitches including: running stitch, backstitch, whipped back stitch, couching, blanket stitch, satin stitch, and French knot.
In your second class a week later on Tuesday, January 15th from 7-9:30, we will expand on basic stitches to create intricately woven, embellished, and textured drawings with thread. Learn creative stitches like whipped spider webs, turkey work, appliqué, and tiny woven stitches. We will also learn how to transfer drawings and photos onto fabric. All materials are provided and everyone will take home their project, some extra thread and needles, an embroidery hoop, and a stitch instruction packet for later reference. This is an incredibly satisfying workshop that covers a ton of skills!

We are passionate about teaching others to slow down and create things by hand. We love helping our students make items to beautify their homes and give as gifts while learning traditional craft techniques. All of our teachers are formally trained artists, and bring this perspective into their teaching- we encourage students to experiment, express themselves, and have fun!
