A mini version of CHOPPED at House Family Vineyards!
This is your chance to get a taste of a food competition, while tasting the House "Cellar Wine Flight."
No cooking talent needed! There will be fun for all no matter if you're a beginner, or savvy with food and cooking.
Participants will be divided into 4 teams of 4 people, with a total of 16 people --so buy your tickets soon!
This 30-minute challenge is for your team to create 20 identical-looking appetizer bites using the ingredients and gadgets that are in your basket, while tasting House Family wines. The mystery food items are guaranteed to work together - so it's up to your team to make it presentable, unique.
No cooking needed! All cooked items will be purchased, and served at room temp.
When the 30 minutes is up, all participants must step away from the table, and each team will describe their creation. We will all be judges, selecting 1 winner for each of 4 categories, and then we will mingle and enjoy the appetizers and wine.
Guest cooking instructor Joni Sare will facilitate the event, which she was done at schools, companies, gatherings, anniversary and birthday parties.
Date: Sunday, May 19, 2019
Time: 12 - 2 pm
Fee: $130 for 2 people, includes wine flight

Personal Trainer for Your Kitchen
As a "personal trainer for your kitchen," I focus on: the marriage of science and art; cooking methods and the presentation; techniques and improvisation; efficiency and flare. I will teach you life skills-- from knife skills to flavor building. In 2008, I gave up my newsroom career at a local newspaper and since then have been cooking professionally and teaching others. I've been in the health field for decades starting with my forays into achieving wellness for myself through food, in 1988. That journey led me to the esteemed Bauman College of Holistic Nutrition and Culinary Arts, where I graduated in 2006 and 2007, as a Nutrition Educator and Natural Chef, respectively.
During the past decade, I did a deep dive into the art, science and sustainability of food and cooking.
Please, join me on my journey.
