A favorite of the artist, they are fun and funky. They hang about 2 1/2" long. Handmade by Hannah Jean Metalworks
I strive to use metal as a tool to better understand the human condition, both psychologically and physically. Metal is malleable; it moves, folds, bends, and even cracks in a way that mimics the way we humans change our psyche over time, as well as our physical bodies. Emotional, psychological energy resounds inside us constantly, inspiring me to combine interpreted imagery of mind and body into my designs. My jewelry is primarily made of bronze, copper, and sterling silver. Each piece is designed, constructed, and polished in my shop in Western Maryland. The copper is finished with a permanent heat patina. I strive to give every necklace, bracelet, hair barrette, or set of earrings its own visual character and energy. I have been making jewelry since I started practicing the craft in 2010 while attending Frostburg State University where I graduated with my Bachelor of Fine Art Degree. I make jewelry and sculpture full time and use the web, craft shows, and galleries as a platform for sales.
