I make each cuff using traditional leather stamping and hand dyeing methods. No embossing wheels or stencils are used – every cuff made is essentially a one-off! Each cuff is made from 2-3 oz. veggie tanned cow leather. Using 2-ply construction, two pieces are cemented together with grain sides out. The inside of the cuff can be dyed or left natural. The edges are rubbed with pure bee's wax and hand burnished to seal. The closure is a nickel-plated metal snap. With wear, the cuff will patina to the traditional look and feel a quality leather piece is known for. Since each cuff is made for the individual, a measurement of the wearer’s wrist is needed. If purchased for a gift, a close approximation of the wrist size works as well. Please contact me to let me know what color and size you would like your custom cuff to be and/or so that I can answer any questions you may have. I can make cuffs in black, blue, gold, red, and silver. NOTICE: Colors and patterns on custom ordered items vary from pictures as items are individually made by hand. To Measure Wrist (please measure to nearest 1/8"): 1) Use cloth (sewing) measuring tape or a piece of ribbon, shoelace/string (referred to as "other"). 2) Wrap measuring tape (or other) around wrist, making sure to go over the wrist bone. Do Not Wrap Tightly - The goal is to get the exact circumference of your wrist. 3) Acquire measurement from measuring tape. If using other, make a mark where the end falls, remove from wrist, lay flat and measure from end to mark using a ruler. 4) If a ‘loose’ fit is wanted, slack the measuring tape (or other) to the desired fit to get the measurement. Photo 1 is black, 2 is blue, 3 & 4 are gold, 5 6 & 7 are red, 8 is silver. Please scroll through the photos using the side arrows to see all available colors!
I am an artisan offering ready-made items, made to order works and confident crafting of custom ordered items as well as consultation and design of custom items in leather and/or wood. I am able to create patterns of and reproduce beloved leather items too worn for use or when another is wanted. My goal is to always utilize the best of me with the creation at hand, from a simple key fob to a complicated shoe design and build. As a result, every finished piece contains some of my heart and soul.
